Furchick (Claire Pannell) from Perth, Australia is excited to be

touring the North Island of New Zealand in January. Claire has

organised two performance at two new venues that she hopes will become

part of the New Zealand original new music landscape.

Claire is a prolific DIY noise-art maker, who incorporates science

into her creations. She takes her sounds from the natural vibrations

created from everyday objects. Some of her past projects include

playing with the Laundry Room Squelchers (USA) at the International

Noise Conference in Sydney and Melbourne, playing drums in Gerard

Cosloy's improv noise project Air Traffic Controllers in NYC and jam

bands including Sexy Band with Chris Cobilis in Perth, The Armaround

with Tom Greenwood's Jackie O Motherfucker and the Crawley Creeps with

Josh Diamond of Gang Gang Dance in the USA. She has performed at Sound

Summit in Newcastle and last toured NZ in 2011. She is included on

several on-line album projects for New Weird Australia and the

upcoming Ladyz in Noize CD. She once played in the notorious nineties

Palmerston North band C.U.N.T. (aka Claire's UnNatural Twin), and

industrial metal act Froithead. https://soundcloud.com/furchick,

Claire is excited to be performing with a line-up of who's-who of New

Zealand artists from the purely experimental extreme noise to the

darker side of heavy beats.

Stanier Black-Five is a Christchurch-based sound artist whose work is

largely based on the manipulation of her own environmental recordings

and found sounds. She uses these to create dense soundscapes that use

sources such as mesmerising aircraft drones to the pounding rhythms of

trains and recently the sounds of the earthquakes that have shaken her

city. stanierblackfive.com/https://soundcloud.com/stanier-black-five

Antony Milton has been active in the underground/noise community for

20 years, performing and recording under a variety of names as well as

running the PseudoArcana label. Recently his music has taken an

overtly psychedelic and ecstatic turn....recently as in the last week.

Rob Thorne (Ngati Tumutumu), a Palmerston North musician of 25 years

experience, has been researching, playing and performing taonga puoro

since 2001. In the last 3 years he has been developing and performing

epic-length orchestrated compositions using live loops that allows him

to ensemble the instruments in a way that is musically & culturally

challenging and beautifully ambient. http://robthorne.bandcamp.com/,

I.R.L. is Richard Benjamin Keys and friends, performing sleazy android machine funk, post-rave electronics and noise induced neural re-wiring
